Getting the last bit of bilge water

I love those oil extractors when it comes to sucking, they’re the best.

We use the little $1 water guns from Walmart to get the last bit of water out of places, be it bilges or dinghies.

Was $200 when I bought it. It leaves just a litlte water that quickly evaporates.

The pump on ours crapped the bed after just Six months. Can't seem to find another pump that fits in the box and the seaflo people are not replying to our emails or returning calls.

This isn't the first time I have had difficulties with their customer service/warranty department. At the boat show the guys manning their booths claim these great warranties. But in reality it is "talk to the hand."

In the end I went with oil absorber in the bilge and shop vac as needed. So far so good but it's only been a couple weeks. I'll try to come back to update later as the boating season here becomes more open.

EDIT: speaking of which, I shoved the oil absorber pad under the engine - now I'm wondering how hot does that oil pan get? (cringe face) Gonna go down and pull that thing out & see what it looks like since I've driven the boat a few times since.
