Line Cutter Recommendation

Does anyone have a recommendation for a line cutter? I was thinking getting a zinc one but my diver is telling me it is $80 a replacement and would need to be done 4x a year and it may be more economical for a permanent one. Any suggestions?

We use a ShaftShark. As far as we know, it has worked to clear a tangle once. It has never failed. There are many different styles and brands of cutters. We choose this because it fit and was easy to mount.

Which ones are available to you to use will depend on the clearances you have for mounting. Read directions carefully. If you have a direct drive shaft, you have to remember that the engine and shaft will move fore and aft on its mounts as the prop pushes the boat forward, or pulls it backward.
