Buying Spanish flagged boat and changing to UK flag

If you bring the boat back to stay permanently in the UK you will have a UK VAT problem bec UK owners who have had their boats in the EU can bring them back with no new VAT

Only if returned within 3 years, ie standard RGR conditions apply. there is no RGR period if ownerships changes while the vessel is outside the VAT territory.

The vat is paid but I'm not EU or UK citizen .
Any other place to register the motor yacht in EU with low cost and extended flag time as an alternative to to Jersey island ?
