I think we need zero tolerance for ice cream. Other than tasting good, it has no redeeming value. None whatsoever. Saturated fat. Extremely high in sugar and other sweeteners. Very little actual nutrition. A complete waste of calories.

Ice cream should be declared illegal: sale, possession and especially consumption. Why is the goverment failing us on this? We need a group to push this through the legislative process. We have to stop ice from ruining our once great country. Who is with me on this crusade to save our society and rid us of Satan's tool called ice cream?

The FAA says 8 hours between bottle and throttle, but it does not mean you can drink unlimited the whole day, then cut off 8 hours before flying and be legal and "good to go", there is still a blood alcohol level limit you have to meet regardless of the 8 hour rule...Good thought however

Gord, I keeping this on a cruising subject I think you failed to point out that consumption of this substance is highly addictive. While most cruisers take extreme measures to keep as much DHMO out of their vessels as possible, a few highly addicted individuals spend thousands of dollars and untold amounts of fossil fuel attempting to create a highly purified version in order to enhance their pleasure while consuming it. Terrible stuff. I plan on doing everything I can to keep it out of my boat.

On NPR the other morning the reporter during an interview with a grocery CEO suggested that maybe high sugar cereals should be banned or placed out of sight because of the child obesity problem.

I have pointed out that once we get national health care the bad diet issue will no longer be a joke. I believe "Big Brother" is absolutely dead serious about social engineering.

We are letting insurance tie us together in an horrifing knot to serve the name of reducing policy cost to everyone.

It would be OK if the insurance was not manditory by law however car insurance is manditory and now so are seat belt and motorcycle helmet laws.

It's all fun and games until they target you.

Boating is pretty much a useless pastime. Our boats consume petrochemicals, old wood forests or require smokey steel factories in their manufacture - disposal is a nightmare. We pollute the environment and destroy the beauty of the coastline with our marinas, usually displacing some nice water creature that was there first. We invade foreign lands imposing our culture on them and instilling disatisfaction in the local populations by flaunting our wealth and consumptive habits.

Elilminate boats and you also eliminate the drunks that drive them or heaven forbid smoke on them...
