New Charges and Fees in Colombia
Also Colombia has recently changed their charges for private vessel and foreign cruisers. Unfortunately these new charges make Colombia to one of the most expensive country in The Caribbean Sea for visiting vessels staying longer than 8 days.
The following charges seem to be practice since April 2009.
- Agency Fee for check in and out (if staying lesser than 60 days) 70.00 $US
- Cruising Certificate (if staying longer than 8 days) 75.00 $US
- Import certificate of vessel (if vessel stay longer than 60 days) 30.00 $US
Additional charges, Agency and Immigration (DAS), will be allocated for the monthly renewal of Visa or entry permit after the first 2 Months has passed. Maximum stay for most nationalities is still limited to 6 Months.
See you in Cartagena,
