Good lessons to learn, except I've always tried to make lesson 2, my objective #1.

I began the process of buying a Van de Stadt designed ketch. decided to Google him, one of the links took me to Trintella.org, which he designed...the boats not the web site. There is a forum within the owners site which had a question linking to a yacht design, to www.cruiserforum.com A sailing forum in german) I somewhat serendipitiously misspelt the link adding an "s" and here I am.

Regards

Alan

I joined shortly after the purchased of our Voyage and I think I had been researching boats the previous year when I google/stumbled across the site.

Found CF while boat shopping and googled for information on a specific model (don't remember which one now). As soon as I found the forum I book marked it just in case and registered.

Great forum. I learn more every time I log on and now use it as a primary research tool for products and maintenance techniques, cruising info and currently boat tax and registration gotchas.

I came here once and read a very long thread about long-haul single-handing strategies.

Then a couple days later I was researching Gozzard vs. Island Packet vs. Pacific Seacraft and ended up back here, so I figured I would stick around.

I was doing a Google search for something that I don't remember and it brought up this forum.

What I kind kind of freaky is when I do a Google search and it brings up one of my threads or posts.

I clicked on the link provided on a website, where an emergency was unfolding. Some guys here were trying to figure out the problem, and find a solution. TNT...We Know Drama!
