A question for Catalina 380 owners

I am considering the purchase of a 2001 Catalina 380 wing keel. I'm trying to determine the actual draft, and have found two Catalina brochures: one shows 5' 4" and the other shows 4' 10''. I understand the difference is only 6" but it's a big difference in thin water. I don't have access to the boat to perform a physical measurement.

Re: A question for Catalina 380 owners

I have a 1997 Catalina 380 and the draft is 5'4".

My understanding is that the draft was reduced to 4'10" during the production run. You may be able to find the hull # when the change was made on the owner's association website | Greatest boats on the water….

Re: A question for Catalina 380 owners

The change to the 4'10" keel appears to have been made about hull #325.
