SOLD. We have a gorgeous shaped steel hull 40' (l.o.d.) Joshua cutter-rigged ketch, center cockpit, canoe stern, full keel project boat with tons of gear and sails if anyone knows of someone wanting to relive Bernard Moitessier's single handed, non-stop voyage on his Joshua. This is a serious blue water cruising boat with proven ocean crossings. We sailed her for six years. Now on the hard on the Gulf Coast (Bayou La Batre, Alamama). Bow needs some repair under chain locker and few other places, but overall hull in good shape. Needs sandblast and paint on exterior. Interior rear cabin needs wood repair. Main cabin in good shape with solid mahogany cabin and teak floors. Double berth in aft cabin with own head. V berth bow. Three single berths center plus table folds down to double. Needs new electrical. Engine about 8,000 hours needs servicing. Sails and rigging in good shape. Tons of cruising gear and accessories such as anchors, Aries windvane, water-catching awning, etc.– too much to list, but we have a complete inventory. Our 40' Joshua has since been scrapped/recycled unfortunately due to our hanging on to her too long and no interested buyers/takers due to transportation and restoration costs. Just nice memories now of our 12,000 miles with her. Don't wait too long to go cruising! Thanks to all who have had interest in White Bean. We will try to remove the listing.
