Cracked 1979 Motor Cruiser Windshield...Help!

Unfortunately, while working on another project we hit the bottom frame of our windshield and cracks radiated diagonally and upward to the top of the frame. We have a 1979 Bayliner Bodega and have logged over 6000 miles in the last year and I am afraid this is going to be our most troubling repair so far. The glass is "almost" flat and I don't know if that is factory or just frame deformation over time and approximately 51"x36" and lightly tinted. Any suggestions on where to start? Auto glass shop? Bayliner for recommendations? I don't think there are any repair systems for linear cracks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think an auto glass place is your only real hope.
Try Bayliner, you may get lucky, it’s possible they have a windshield laying around since 1979. Can’t hurt to ask.
You need either automotive safety glass or tempered glass for it to be safe.

That's a 3 piece windshield right? I'd be surprised if they weren't just flat glass to start...

Thanks to both of you. It is a 3 section windshield with the middle section being split upper/lower with lower hinged. I too believe all the panes started flat. Will check with vendors after the 4th. Hopefully there is a little flex in the glass and frame/gasket combo.
