The glass won't be bothered by getting wet, but the sun will destroy it. Either paint it or cover it in wood.

Fwiw we never had anything disappear while we were there, 4 years in total. Once the locals adopt you as one of their own they do a really good job of keeping an eye on your stuff.

The only times we were unable to leave were in huge north winds.

We did move to watergate, the inner harbor.

What growly said....Marinas will want liability before you move in. We use progressive for ours.

I saw that on craigslist last night. It's a fun boat, faster and handles better than the Catalina. The phrf number is based differently. Than the Portsmouth number.

The area where the op is boat shopping isn't clear enough for a diver to inspect anything on the hull. However, the good news is that anything here with the slightest semblance of bottom coat...

In regards to a Catalina 30.....if maintained properly you'll give up and be sucking your thumb in the fetal position before the boat is in any serious structural danger from the weather.

Welcome,
I'm a Galveston bay beach cat sailor as well as lead mine owner.
Unless you go the sport boat route, don't expect the same performance from any monohull as your Hobie.
