I find it odd that Alex posted a video of him on port tack in light winds about 8 hours ago. Must have been an older video or the GRIB files are wrong.

Alex lost a few miles in this last round because he cant use his foil to full effect. He is sailing close hauled while Armel is cracked off on a close reach. By morning the scene should change.

Another 8 miles in Alex's column! Considering they are both in the same amount of wind now with a slightly less favorable angle for Alex his Hugo is showing her speed.

I may be wrong but i think Alex will be in the lead by the time they get to the Cape Verde latitudes. The routing after that will be complex and will determine the winner. A real good game of chess...

Wind was forecast to go east a little earlier than it has so Armel is staying between Alex and the shift as best he can. Alex was hoping for lateral seperation to the east and would benefit the most...

Armel has tacked to starboard and Alex appears to be trying to get to his East to gain maximum leverage on the anticipated shift to the East. Nice move!

Any software patch would need to be a global release and not specific to a particular boat. If B&G answers the Sat Phone and gives him advice he is automatically disqualified. Stop bashing B&G.
