Re: Yamaha 9.9 lower drive oil plug can not be opened.

Re: Parachutes for downwind sailing.

I have tried this a couple of times. Had a lot of trouble with tangles. I think the lines need to be replaced with a thicker line that doesn't tangle easily.
In the videos I've seen the lines look...

Re: Reeving a Tackle to Advantage -- What am I Missing?

I had to try this for real without the theory with spring scales and a weight. The results are indeed 2 to 1 and 3 to 1 ,but I think many of the explanations are wrong.
In both cases pulling the...

Re: Yamaha 9.9 chruising rpm

You will only be wasting fuel and making noise running WOT except if you need to get somewhere before a tide change or other reason.
I would guess 5 knots would be a reasonable speed on that boat...

Re: Yamaha 9.9 chruising rpm

Re: Aussie Cyclones

I should have had more weight in the boat.
I was only booked to fight a lightweight but they substituted a heavyweight at the last second. I demand a rematch, but not right now.

Re: Aussie Cyclones

I couldn't use the motor to get out of the actual mangroves. I dropped an anchor in the creek and pulled myself into the creek by hand.

The type of mangrove I'm in is yellow...
