COUPLE OF POINTS:

1) Most radar companies dont recommend mounting to high on the mast due to accelerated movement moments the higher you go,

2) Radars can only really see approximately 6%...

Bob, Forgot to say your picture actually looks like a riser (not a manifold) also any spraying water is done at the exhaust riser (not inside or near the manifold?

There's usually no need at all to replace the manifold...

Small remaining portions of ATF wont be an issue, if you feel happier flush with an oil cleaner (the one you use for flushing engines prior to an oil change)

The insulation will be there for noise rather than heat,

Standard GRP has a safe operating temp as 540 C OR 1000 F so by that time I believe your gen set will be toast!

No issues, apart from more noise, Many generators are sold with the sound shield as an optional extra, Im actually running my Onan right now due to an black out from the mains with both sides removed...

All marine Risers have a limited life (3-5 years) is the recommended replacement (I personally would rather say case by case) that said it shows they indeed a normal replacement part,

For got to say, I wouldn't worry to much about the wrong oil (change it YES) but dont loose any sleep over it, placing Trans fluid in a manual box is not any real issue, its the other way...

Nathan, No Changes or updates , Must be: either 20 or 30 weight SAE regular [B]engine oil

ALSO NOTE: this is either 20 or 30 not a multi grade oil, SAE 20 Engine oil is some what difficult to find...

2) Galvanic Corrosion has a major issue here (Stainless screws and Aluminium)
3) So you must use some thing like Duralac Paste...
