Oh btexpres85!! It sounds like all went well and that a cat is in your future. Isn't St. John just GORGEOUS!??! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and your wife. I have faith that...

Re: How to re-invert falsely inverted photos??

Not a joke. Uploading pictures on a forum is different than uploading on facebook or emailing. The picture can look totally normal to you, but when you upload it, it could be sideways or upside...

Re: How to re-invert falsely inverted photos??

For vbulletin forums (like this one), sometimes you have to crop your image first when uploading from your phone.

Re: Need help finding cruising couple......

Yes, they are. I searched "Capt Jim" "Pirate" "St Thomas" in Google and the first few results are from tripadvisor. Possible captain of Bones and Doubloon. Both are part of one charter company. ...

Any of those sound familiar?

Re: The useless dream boat I will never buy

That would be awesome to have!

This is my favorite: 1924 ferry (https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1924/Classic-Ferry---Commercial-2313558/Unknown/WA/United-States)

I could make it beyond stunning...

Re: Help! Trying to get the wife in the game.....

I've only been to St Thomas from your list and we went to St. John on a beach/snorkel excursion.

After the excursion, start talking to her about how awesome it would be for the two of you to be...

Re: Help! Trying to get the wife in the game.....

Show her the inside of a Leopard 45 or 48. That's all she'll need to see and she'll be sold! :thumb:

Take her on one or two of the catamaran sail & snorkel excursions. Private charter is nice,...

Re: Looking for replacement shower faucet

I can definitely see AS in the design. I only suggested Scandvik because Hylas used Scandvik shower parts. The one I found is very similar to the 2nd one CaptNemo posted (not Scandvik).

Re: Looking for replacement shower faucet

Does it have to be exact or would you be open to any 6" bridge mixer? I'm not having very much luck finding the exact one.

Have you contacted the manufacturer? That looks like Scandvick. They...

Re: Newbie... getting close to living on board

When you say "So at the moment I am faced (again!) with the inevitable down-sizing of possessions (3 bass guitars spring to mind for a start!)" it doesn't sound like you really want to part with...

Re: Clothes washer dryer for boaters

Where's the button? Need button. Must have button. I feel like a laundromat as it is. I'm sure it's much different on a boat than at home...or not, depending on what you are doing.

Re: Lagoon 380 replacement to come?

I'd like to see the seating on deck with a higher back or at least smooth out the area against the cabin (I can provide a pic if needed). As someone with 4 pinched nerves in the shoulder and neck,...

Re: How much is 'less than 5mW' ?

5 mW means that it is using about the same amount of power as a small laser pointer.

LEDs are not measured in mW typically (measured, perhaps, but not shown to the consumer on the pkg). I would...

Re: Solar basics, cost and where to purchase

You got it! When I get my boat I'll definitely have A LOT of beer and wine onboard :thumb:

Not while sailing of course ;)

Re: Wow! Disappointed With CF

Hi there... I am new to CF, and very new to sailing (as in I never have been at the helm of a sailboat before)

My take:

I have not read the multiple pages full of posts in this thread so far....

Re: Solar basics, cost and where to purchase

Krakato, I just checked out Renogy.com. I'm curious, do you have to stick to the marine/rv set ups or can you run the home/cabin set ups?

Aren't they all the same? I wasn't sure if their...

Re: Positive advice for dealing with hyper grandson when sailing on catamaran

I agree with all of this! My 10 yr old son (he's going on 30) has ADHD with a healthy dose of anxiety. Makes life interesting! He's ridiculously intelligent - too smart for his own good.

To...

Re: Solar basics, cost and where to purchase

How do you determine how much power you need? Galley, a/c, lights, tv, and such.

Is there one company I could purchase a full system from or do I have to piece it together from 10 different...
