Hi Wotname: Thanks for the warm welcome (months ago lol)…I think I will be more active now, trying to update my Dragonfly 800 trimaran. Best, Antsjh

    Wot a name :-)
would be good to to know how many Hustler 32 members are here particularly those with Hydraulic drive units coupled to Volvo penta Engines for which i can find absolutely no information. However I do have a more imediate problem regarding O-Charts and Open CPN of wich I have on several devices with the Windows 10 rendering the Charts incorrectly making the sea Black. This has happened since the last update and I expected it to be a common problem but alas aparantly not. Anyway I am looking forward to some interesting conversations with your comunity.

    Hi there..

not sure if I am in the right space...but

Just new to the forum...I recently purchased a volvo 2002 FL 6221 with a KGMS2B drive unit

In my quick, no research, (successful) attempt to latch on to said winter project. I come to find that all is not what it seems in acquiring parts to do a rebuild and locating the few missing parts.. and its probably not worth it..

I have inspected the trans splines..they are hooped at approx 40%..yes I have seen ALL the fixes

engine is 90 % there missing the exhaust / alternator turns over

Im in Vancouver bc canada and just looking to get my $300.00 purchase back out of it,,
if even possible,,,, or just in the hands of someone who will appreciate it more than i do

if you could of only seen my misses with her hands on her hips at the garage door..
"um hmm... how much is that lil project going to cost " as i fumbled around in my head for some untruth she knows not to believe.....

    cheers
    Vic

Ah, Bluey - you can't be too careful :-)!

Years ago, when I first enlisted, someone in Texas was moaning that someone had plugged 'is mast with a High powered rifle. It was just after "Deadeye Dick" Cheney (remember him?) had plugged 'is 'unting mate, so of course my comment was "Did I hear someone say 'Cheney'?".

My post had barely appeared before it was deleted. Still makes me chuckle. Weavis, who did the deed, was chuckling too :-)

    TBC...

Thank you for allowing me to join this website. I have already received great help and quickly. I hope to be able to give back at some point.
I have been a powerboater/sailor ~75/25 most my life but never an owner and knew going in there was going to be a learning curve. No shock but excitingly stressful nonetheless.
My new adventure, a '79 Fairways Fisher 34 trucked from Toronto to NYC (straight to winter storage) which I estimate as 60/40 power/sail so it will hopefully fit my expectations. Best to all....

    Thank you Wotman!

Do you know any sailors in the Southern California region? Boat owner looking for like minded people, crew, other boat owners, some guidance, good people and camaraderie in general. I have a 42’ Catalina MK II that is rigged for short sailing, but I can’t manage her alone - Yet.

I have a Cal39 in need of cleats. The original were manufactured by Wilcox Crittenden no longer in business. I'd like to match the hole pattern so I don't have to drill new holes and bed new cleats. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangereous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. T.E. Lawrence
