    Hello!
Googled and found your RA772 question. I have been offered the RA772UA wiyhout cables for about 200 USD. I have found a manual if you still need it. Do you know where to get proper cables för the unit? Or..documentation so that my son could do the wiring himself? greetings from Sweden. Peter (at) ljungdahl.net

    Hi, Geoff,

Ann here. Thought you might be amused to know that there is a vessel by the name "Wot's Next" moored at the RYCT (in G-1 or -2). Your next boat, perhaps?

    Hey wotname
I was looking for some background on my old starfire, which was originally from Moreton Bay, when I saw your introduction on this forum from some years ago. Any chance you were sailing on Moondancer at the time?

    Hi Geoffrey,
I might have read a bit back that you were away? If you are in Perth over the holidays let me know if you'd like to go for a sail out of Fremantle. I've gone on about five day sails over the last three months with my instructor on my boat, once to Rottnest. Planning on being out frequently from Christmas to New Year. Let me know if you'd like to sail a bit.

    Hi,

Did you get the Boatman61 fighting fund site up and running? I'd like to make a contribution. Looks like the original thread has bee "disappeared".

    Regards,

Quite a lot of wind and wave this morning! How did you boat manage on the far shore? Heard some boats Mosman Park came loose and ended up on the2 banks. Fortunately I got a notion Tuesday to turn my boat around in its pen to point the bow into the waves. Glad I did or it would have taken a pounding. Wind and waves were coming straight into the pen, winds at 35 knots gusting to 45 at six this morning (I was there watching). The river looked like the ocean!

I didn't accept the repair kit from Beneteau cause it was missing the space-age adhesive. This is meant to be strong, flexible expoxy. He's trying to source the adhesive locally but I don't think he can.

May get out to Couplers in Malaga to get a bronze version of the hose spar similar to the steel coupling I showed you. Or possibly will use another bronze hose spar.

Thinking just to epoxy this in rather than try your mandrel design - the shaft tube is not fully cylindrical - a surface (epoxy?) is already built up where the hose spar goes in, so this would have to go to fit your design. Also, there's so little room considering the short length of stern tube between the shaft seal and the skeg. Planning haul out and replace the hose spar and the leaky shaft sea at the same time. Was considering rebuilding the reverse gear , but reconsidering as that can be a 'can of worms.' Might try to put some oil leak stop into the transmission. Would be in good nick with all that done.
