Thanks alot for getting back to me. Yes this particular boat is of alluminium and it is a homebuild. Professionnal fit out so its super nice inside. I have the best surveyor in s-e asia booked in to look at it and Ill be spending alot of time myself looking through the weld seams and that. DO you know of any problem areas worth special attention? Ive read alot of the Adams bio and he sounds like a champion designer but like you said if its poorly built it doesnt matter who designed it. Im pretty excited as Ive been looking at hundreds of boats, this one semms to have nearly evrything but like I said Im concerned with the shoal draft and stability in rough seas as Ill be taking it round south africa to brazil.. Anyway thanks for the help!

    Hello sir

I saw your post about the adams 40 centerboard steel yacht and it got me interested as I am in negotiations now over buying one. Im concerned with it as a bluewater cruiser and stability. YOu said it is seen by some as the best blue water cruiser design or something like that, could you enlighten me!? I was always looking at a bit deeper keel with a v shaped hull however this boat has me interested. Thanks matey

Hey Patrick - did you say you had a folding prop 1" shaft fit for sale??

Hi Patrick - nice photo you posted but it seems to be tracking somewhat better than I'd imagine at the moment!!

    Hi Patrick
36 hours it took us!! 45 knots + behind us after dark around Tasman Island - bit nasty - most of the rest was 20 - 30 knots - behind us all the way - even around the NE corner! The weather for the race looks as if it will be gentler! Best wishes for the race.

G'day Patrick - When are you folk starting your delivery? We hope to head out on Blue Chip about 5.00pm friday.

Well Patrick - once again you managed to pick the shifts, adjust the sails with finesse and steer with precision to a great result while we did the opposite! Mind you - the grand old Lady Luck might have played a part! :-)
You were looking close to an outright for a while!!
    What a race! Well done!
    Regards

    Weyalan:
I am getting ready to refurbish my head's plumbing. The holding tank was removed before I bought the boat and it dumps directly over board. I looked over the plumbing options you posted when reading"converting a race boat to a cruiser". Did you come up with these, if not where did you find them?
