I'm Wil Bailey aka 'oldbilbobaggins', and I ran into a problem, for which I'd ask your guidance?

Yesterday/16 Feb, following a suggestion from good friend Doug Pingel/Jakeeda to read a post, I sought to send a simple, courteous question to two of the Moderators. I was prevented.

It seems from system messages my attempts to post those PMs were deemed 'attempted spamming' and, despite several rewordings ( including removal of my home email address, that I'm using right now ), I was locked out as 'suspicious activity'....????

I don't do spam. I'm quite mild-mannered. Non-controversial. Suspicious? Well, you'll have to ask others about that, but I'm quite open really.

My primary question was whether it would be possible, without too much trouble, for my login name to be shortened to 'oldbilbo'. But it's no big deal. I'd far rather be able simply to ask questions like t'others, and don't understand this system security foo-fa.

So, WIHIH? Can you advise?

I recently surveyed the Venezia down in Key West and would be happy to go over the boat with you as it is still for sale. I know you said that Key West is a bit far however I was recently in St. Martin surveying another boat and took a quick look at another Venezia that is probably worth the trip down.
