    Hi,

I am researching drogue and parachute alternatives and like the idea of a medium/low pull drogue as you describe with your Abbot Drogue. I understand the overall concept, but don;t get how the anchor/chain would be attached to the "carrier" w/o impeding its ability to slide down the warp. Would you happen to have a picture of how you shackled the anchor to the hose used as a carrier?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Maxingout,

Your recent post concerning your pulpit has been called to the attention of the moderators because your signature is in contravention of the rules of our forum, specifically:

Signature may not include email addresses, links to competing websites, prompts to contact or a sales pitch..

I have therefore deleted the post, but as the tenor of it is not, in itself, in contravention of any rule, I invite you to amend your signature so that links to your enterprise are not included and then post your contribution to the thread again.

Thank you for the reply, it is very sad for anyone to pass on at such a early age, from any circumstances let alone cancer.
can you recall anything that might be of use from there journey with a T30?

    Hello Maxingout
I apologize for bugging you out of the blue, but i was wondering if i could get some more information on a long dead post you made, ? Waaaaay back in 2010, you commented to someone about knowing a couple who had circumnavigated in a Tartan 30....is there any way i could get some more information on that?

    Respectfully
    Cyric

Hi Dave, I'm new to the forum and noticed your comment about your insurance company only req re-rig every 14 years. I'm in Sydney and currently with Pantaenius who are competitive with rates but req re-rig every 10 years which is about now. I'll no doubt add this to the list of "to dos" which as you know never seems to get any shorter. Wonder if you would mind passing along who your with and I'll see if they do boats down under. We have a 1996 43' Tasman Elite locally built on the Gold Coast. It's getting very hard to get any cover for boats on a swing mooring anywhere or further north than Brisbane! Only about three players left here so they charge pretty much what they want. Strangely enough there's no problem insuring a trailer boat regardless of condition or location and no restrictions on what vehicle you tow it with regardless of the size of the boat. Go figure that one??? Hope you find time in your busy ponderings to flick me an answer. Cheers from Aus. Roy.

Thanks for the info. Seems to be working ok. Hunkered down on 30 plus knot winds right now. Putting out fine.
    Thanks again, Ray

I have emailed you before and you got back to me about a windlass. Took your advice and everything works fine.
I also installed an Areo6gen. I did the test to see if there is output and there is from the windgenny. Not much output from the regulator though. Had 40 knot winds last night. Turning that pot on the regulator does make the resistors buzz but not much charging of the batteries. The voltage doesn't change. Got any ideas?

Thank you so much for your comment back. It is very easy to get sidetracked away from the important things in life. Your website has really helped me refocus and want to travel! Thank you for that! My husband loves your site too.
