Re: Dish Detergent !

I simply can't believe that Joy is not available in Toronto! I've bought it everywhere, including places like Colombia, Panama, and Guatemala. There is even a concentrated version of Joy that you can use--a small bottle lasts forever. On the other hand, where are you finding the saltwater in Toronto to worry about?

I use dr browners natural soap. Works well in a spray bottle. 3:1 dilution. Works for clothes also. Bio green clean works for everything else as a cleaning product. Murphys oil soap and bleach work for the teak.

Re: Dish Detergent !

Yeah, but how they all got so dirty might make a better story.

Go right ahead. I'm ready.

Re: Dish Detergent !

Once, but I made and restored wedding gowns in my bridal shop!

And the orvus paste isn't gonna help if you are allergic to soap, but most people/animals are allergic to the other stuff added to products. Which is why they benefit from the absence of all the extra stuff.

All of the products mentioned here include SLS in their formulations. And alot of other chemicals as well. I like that the Orvus is just the detergent part so I can use it in dilution that suits the job at hand.

Soap is irritating, that's why you rinse it off.

Re: Dish Detergent !

Virtually any Detergent Cleanser will work in salt water as, unlike soap (largely made from animal fats combined with alkalies) detergents do not combine with the mineral salts in water which gives rise to "soap scum".

FWIW...

I knew it was something along those lines but I have trouble resisting any potential setup line like that. I'm sure it is the result of some deep seated trauma from childhood.
