Yet One More 'Hello' to Read

I have been joining communities for sailing port, starboard, and sideways? Anyway, I am about 10-12 years out from being able to buy a boat as a live aboard and semi-retire. That being said, I have never sailed, have NO real life experience with live aboard situations, but was in the Navy for 10 years (with Marine Corps time as sea duty) and have been studying a lot.

Basically, I plan on lurking and searching the forums for information so I will at least be smart enough to ask the right questions. I might chime in as I can, but I doubt I will have much to contribute other than "yup, water is wet" or "I dive too."
