Looking to connect with other cruisers in Seattle?

Hello!

10 years ago, my then boyfriend (now husband) and I sailed from Seattle to Thailand and returned back to work after 3 years. That experience never left us and we want to cruise again. Plan is to leave next year.

We currently live in Seattle and are in the serious planning stages, researching all kinds of related stuff....narrowing down on the choice of boat, equipment and especially how to deal with health insurance while we are out of the country given the new ACA (we are too young for Medicare).

Thought it might be fun to connect with other local sailors doing/have done the same to share knowledge/experience/ideas/questions/hopes/fears....

It would be fun to meet over a drink or coffee. If you are interested, shout out and we'll find a local place to meet up.

Cheers,
Tammy

Hi Tammy...Welcome to the forum. Knowing the poor health care system in the US, I doubt you would have much, if any coverage outside the US through ACA. It is my understanding that if you are out of country, you can be exempt.
As far as decent Insurance goes, thee have been a few threads on the topic. It's somehow international....good luck to you and yours.
