Hello from Vermont, thanks to all!

Hi to everyone, good to be back. I wanted to thank everyone for the time and help you give to this forum. Plans are going more slowly than I had hoped, but I did buy a boat 5 years ago and have learned to sail! It is only an 18 ft Windrose but it is a little small for the lake I am living on now, as it regularly gets 20 to 25 mph gusts out of nowhere. It is teaching me a bit about how to deal with unexpected issues which is a good thing.

I am looking for another boat in the 24 to 28 ft range and would like to know if there are any I should really stay away from. It needs to sleep 2 and be easily single-handed.

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Hello from Vermont, thanks to all!

Welcome aboard Jeff! I am a big fan of the boats from the 60s, if you don't mind the old school keels and rudders! I started with a Columbia 24 which sure served me well for 10 years. Simple, strong and surprisingly good performance for an old school boat.
