Welcome to the forum. Another member from Denmark is always welcome.

The Albin Vega is a nice boat and should take you to the islands quite well.

Re: Hello from Denmark

Hej!

Yep. Nothing beats sailing. And sailing to remote places is great.

Avoid 'fjords of NZ' though - just start your adventure by going up to Tromso and back and you will understand why ;-).

Cheers and welcome,
barnie

@ barnakiel
Yup, I do understand what you mean, been living and working on Greenland since 94, both east and west coast, so I have seen my share of those fiord's up there, also why I need some warmer surroundings.

"The day" will be in 5-6 years, it shroud have been earlier but we all know how economy have been the last few years.

Hi Fr0zen,

Welcome to CF.

It sounds like you have really good plan. Funny thing is that my plan is to go to Denmark starting in a year or so.

Here is wishing you fair winds and seas,

Paul

Re: Hello from Denmark

@ Viking Sailor.
Just a good advice, if you’re going over here do it in the summer, right now we have 5 C. / 41 F. light drizzle so most of the 1/8” snow from yesterday is gone, no wind, not even freezing at night (yet)

I see, your are located in California, then maybe you should try something new, go here in the winter time, enjoying the wet and cold.

@ Everybody, Thank you for the warm welcome.

And today IS a GOOD day; just got the letter from IRS, just let’s say it was good to read.
“Skat” is the Danish word for IRS (tax).
“Skat” is also the Danish word for “Darling” Hmm.
