Chesapeake Bay Bareboat Class

Hi everyone, i bought a 17' daysailer this past year and have since fallen in love with sailing. Does anyone know of a place in the chesapeake where my wife and I could get asa103 and 104 certified while staying on board along with our 2 young daughters? I would love to buy a boat but would like to do this first to make sure everyone likes it and to also learn more. Thanks.

Maryland School of Sailing lets you stay on the boat at night while taking classes during the day. They are in Rock Hall.

Re: Chesapeake Bay Bareboat Class

The Annapolis Sailing School is a good choice. We gave our son a Christmas present of a 3 day class designed to prepare the students for bareboat chartering. He was very pleased with them. They're kind of the Gold Standard for sailing instruction in the Chesapeake.

Re: Chesapeake Bay Bareboat Class

I'd reccomend Chesapeake Sailing School (www.sailingclasses.com). My wife and I learned to sail bigger boats with them many years ago.
