1975 Yankee 30 hull # 132

My new friends,
I would like to introduce myself, I'm Dayne, and I am (happy, honored, a bit giddy?) The new owner of a 1975 Yankee 30 hull # 132 yes...the last S&S Yankee 30 built. I don't deserve this boat, but the way it unfolded, I'm certain she's been waiting for me... Haha I have been an avid reader of this forum since I started considering a cruiser. It was my 1st and in many cases last stop. So thanks for all the help already! I welcome any comments or questions.

Re: 1975 Yankee 30 hull # 132

Hi Dayne and welcome to CF.

Way back in ~1977 I actually nearly bought that boat myself. It was not new, but still had the plastic wrap on the cushions and was really pristine... but had no equipment installed and was priced a bit high. Ended up buying hull 123, "Dominique" and sailing her for 7 years. Lots of coastal cruising, a round trip SF-Hawaii-SF, and lots of racing, mostly single handing. A great boat... I'm sure she will treat you well.

Does yours still have the Atomic 4 engine? And where are you located? BTW, you should fill out your profile here... helps us answer questions better sometimes.

Enjoy!

Jim

Jim,
Thank you for the warm welcome. As soon as I can I will post a profile. She is very well equipped now I'm happy to say but is more livable than beautiful. I'll be trying to spruce her up. I will post photos as I can.
Aloha,
Dayne
