PILOTS of the Caribbean ( or the other use of charts)

Hi Group,

I noticed a lot of members are cross trained in aviation and sailing/power boating. My guess is that the two interests are very intertwined. We have many things in common, more than the terminology, wingtip light colors, and the fact that we use charts, need to know weather, travel from A to B, and like adventure.

Are there enough members interested in this (plus probably motorcycles is my wild guess too) to have a Cross Trained Forum for go-fast and high AND go low and slow captains?

I have had 5 different airplanes, and am on my second sailboat of liveaboard status with Mrs. Along the way also had 6 progressively bigger motorcycles, culminating in the last one with 9 broken ribs, 2 weeks in the hospital, and the decision to stop playing that game.

Favorite airports, airshows, fly-to destinations, scary stories.... Any takers?

Not being a Pilot I don't have any of these, but as a mate is getting his private plots licence at the moment (he is over in the States on a "Zero to Hero" course ).............I am sure I will have some scary stories when he sorts a plane out back here, in my capacity as a nominated fuel costs sharer............The Missus has also expressed half an interest in learning .........but hopefully "that too shall pass"

But Mo' cycles are a different matter although I am on a Scooter for the last few years - I have been thinking about another decent bike. Not sure if I am still up for 170 mph+ though............vroooooooooooooom

Now if only the list of interests could be expanded to include booze and crazy women maybe I could open a "Chapter" over here

Been a pilot for 44 years heavy transport. Rode big bikes for most of that time, several years with the Shriners (Sheiks Unit (Honda's) Later with the Motor Patrol (Hogs) (Egypt Temple Tampa Florida). My late wife made me give up the bike after a nasty crash and 5 days in the hospital.
Currently enjoying living aboard my 36' Catamaran and cruising the East Coast single handing.

Nah, let's stick to cruising sailing and related issues, there is plenty of other forums for bikes and planes.

Catamarans too! Wow.

We have a great Catamaran, and will be heading it to Panama eventually.
