Annie Oakley, real name Phoebe Moses was orphaned at an early age while living in Kentucky. She used her late fathers Kentucky long gun to shoot game in order to provide food for her mother and other members of the family. She was so good with the rifle that she earned enough money from selling her game that she was able to pay off the family home.

She became a part of Buffalo Bills Wild West Show and immediately became famous as the best known women marksman in America. A great women and a great American.

. ......She could shoot off the end of a cigarette held in her husband's lips, hit the thin edge of a playing card from 30 paces and shoot distant targets while looking into a mirror. She would also shoot holes through cards thrown into the air before they landed, inspiring the practice of punching holes in a free event ticket being referred to as an "Annie Oakley." Oakley even entertained such royals as Queen Victoria and Kaiser Wilhelm II—and shot a cigarette out of the kaiser's mouth.

Re: New Pirate threat. .. uninvited bording

Found these pirates in Green Bay at the Tall Ships festival. They were boarding the neighbor's boat & demanding rum - or whatever. I had plenty of whatever but Lynn somehow managed to keep them off our boat.

Women is plural, woman is singular.

I'm surprised at how many people get that backwards, especially women.

Sorry DeepFrz. My fault in not posting the video properly. I hope I didn't disturb you too much.
