lol, a bit off topic, but the person i bought my labs from socialized them with cats as puppy's. the real issue is they have become farm dogs, and thou they may like cats, they do not like other people. very protective.

i did look at a few mono's i dont like the fact they have no windows, or the big set of steps going down, i could see my dogs going face first falling down them in mild seas. plus the dogs could not see out. motosailors are on my list of boats to visit, but the dealer i went to in annoplous (sp) MD did not have any. (the former makers of the gemini) thou i did visit the mono sails and the cats they had, (too small)

i have yet to visit a lagoon. i did visit the predecessor, the 42' TPI the one with the sloped cockpit. was not a bad boat but i felt it too small. i do want to see how big those are with the square cockpit.

Yes, I looked at a couple of TPI's for you and thought the saloon looked a bit small. The later ones with the virtical windows are a vast improvement.

As for that 410, its over 10 years old and its very much a buyers market and obviously has been priced to sell. As it's got 'sale pending' on the ad', seems to have worked!

There are power driven yachts with the range to cross oceans (with enough reserve fuel) that are not a custom built exotic. Don't give up your search. Personally, I would prefer a sailing vessel but respect that this is not what you prefer.

i just made a preliminary decision.
i am 80% +/- 10% i want the lagoon 410.
i WILL be adding more fuel tanks.
i WILL have a hard time finding a dock
i WILL be comfy on choppy waters.
by the photos it looks plenty big enough for me + 2 dergs.
i cant wait to see what they think of dolphins.

Good choice man, these boats are designed for families or large groups so, for a boat, they are huge and you'll have roughly the same internal volume as a 55-60ft monohull and also plenty of deck space for the dogs.

they will be fine, they have webbed feet. they can swim 2500 or more miles, pulling me the entire way to land.

its a large boat
i think it would make for a nice trip.
not leaving the coast for at least 3 years or so. hope to hit the drake passage on the second year. i plan to take the long way round in lue of the panama canal. i have my world passages book as well.

if someone experienced can cross the Atlantic with a Gemini, i can go anywhere in a lagoon. i like the fact that they are the ones who built the waterworld boats as well, very cool fact.

Did you really mean that there is more usable space in a single hull than in two hulls of the same length connected by a bridge? I understand that the space isn't the same, but it just seems like the equal-length cat has got to have more space, even if it isn't double the space....
