According to this documentary JF is overtaking eco systems (North China Sea is dead) and there could be nothing left alive in the oceans except jelly fish most of the cause by human impact. Just wondering if these "blooms" are being noticed elsewhere is this doc too alarmist.

We get major blooms here to however the crab population seems to keep it in check quite well ( I have actually witnessed crabs eating them) I believe it is a little
Alarmist only time will tell. Now just to find a good way to cook and eat them.

There have been some problems reported in the central Gulf with respect to the exotic Phyllorhiza punctata, and the fall blooms of the local species can be quite impressive

Jelly Fish populations often decline after their appearance, and this can be seasonal.

I have been known to eat more than a few whenever I see them.

That's actually plausible however if history is any teacher plagues of a particular species are comparatively short lived. Watch out mankind!

And living in the land of killer jellyfish I can say no spike in "attacks" here yet.
