Friday the 13th? on average the same as bad things on a Monday the 12th.

But impossible to prove as folk never log those

Mumbo jumbo is obviously still popular

I actually missed my birthday 2 years ago - this is true - we sailed into Tonga from the east and the Customs man looked at my passport and said: You had no birthday.

He was right! It was the day missed going over the international date line!

So I am a bit younger than I look.

My wife Judi is a flight attendant and used to do the Los Angeles - Sydney flights regularly. She missed her birthday two years in a row. Said it was intentional, but even though she missed them, I wasn't allowed to so it didn't get me off the hook for presents...

Re: Friday 13th . . .

Weeeell.... beachcat racing today. HWMO and I won the first two races, then the third was cancelled due to a dust storm coming over. Figured we'd go for a sail anyway, so left boat on beach. Tide came up, boat sailed onto rocks. Both bows damaged, one needs fibreglass.

Bugger, I hate Friday 13th. I just knew I shouldn't have sailed today.

Re: Friday 13th . . .

Well. The only time we sat out the 13th then things did happen and in a big way too.

So, sail on the 13th, sit out the 14th?

Office hours and then a department meeting this morning. Would much rather have been crashing a beachcat.

Re: Friday 13th . . .

Friday 13th are one of the greatest days there is. I turned 13 on a Friday 13th. By the way it was in an April, which marks today .............

PS - I checked to be sure, no spears in my ass, which just improves the the day!

PSS - post 3600, such quality!
