There ought to at least be some recognition that anyone spending enough time on a keyboard to earn a fifth star can't really be getting as much helm time as we like to pretend.

Exactly - and we wouldn't have to read our own posts but perhaps a special exception could be made for those over say 10,000 posts - that way we still get to read Gord's musings.

I too must confess that I stand with the assembly of those of the latter.

However, I am but a mere shade to the individuals who assume the designation of 1000 posts.

To those who have posted the sum of 5000 communiqués, I must bow in homage and proclaim unto them the title of The Masters of Missives.

I am to be frivolously found in the latter to which I must say "better latter then never".

Prehaps a "danger - possibly pointless exposition ahead" icon would be in order?

By my calculations, this should be my 1000th post on CF.
The first 2000 really seem to take forever. Seems only a short time ago when Gord only had 8,000.
