Sorry to read that you had to bail on your boat down in Guam. It's a tough place to get the boating bug (not much market there). Fortunately going into the Chesapeake area you will most likely have the opposite (too many to shop them all).
I'll email my brothers, who are in the area, and try to get some general info to get you started on yards etc.

Good luck.

unfortunate but i learned a few things and got my hands dirty down here.
unless there is some amazing prices in the marinas out there il probably more up in one of the base ones if there is any haven't looked yeat. been taking a hard look at different rigs and its noticable that you seem to lose a lot of room on the sloops so il probably have to open up and look at the other rigs as well. looking at anything from 30s to 45s ft.

well wonderful news seems that the place that creates the orders for the navy is under water, so i will probably be in Guam for a bit longer than i thought...

Where in Virginia?

Where in Virginia are you being transferred? We're here in Hampton Roads/Norfolk area and would be happy to help.

well quick update i am going to try to bump who ever put a offer on a boat i was looking at the krogen 38' cutter i am not there to look but the info i have is too good to pass up, il just have to offer closer to the sticker price than i anticipated but thats fine, all my worries were put to rest the perkins is in good shape, not amazing or perfect but i will have some work to do :-P and the bottom was most likely re sceld because it was a Florida boat and it has a wight coat of paint under the bottom paint, if they take my offer il be sending a servayor out there since its outa the water alredy, woot for being a bit cheaper that way, and if the servayor ses its good (that one already has just doing my own) il send a friend up there to open and look and poke and take pictures of everything. long distance buying blows ...

hmm not that small of a update

If a Mariner 31 is your thing (ketch), I know of one that would go for 40-45K in pristine condition. PM me if you want more info.
