Re: Propane Stove and Oven

You really have my curiosity up as I have flown around the NWT and have been to Yellow Knife.
You have a sailboat in Yellow Knife? How did it get there? Doesn't the lake freeze solid? Are there any other sailboats there?
One of our Moderators Sailor Chic replaced her Marine stove with one meant for an RV at a fraction of the cost, may want to contact her about that, I assume shipping something stove sized would be real expensive?

I have an experienced Shipmate, may require new burners, let me know if you are interested. It is solid stainless inside and out, and heavy. Let me know if you are interested.

Re: Propane Stove and Oven

I have a Force 10 three burner propane stove. I have no idea what the shipping would be, but I'd like $300US for the stove.

Cheers,

Cheers,
If the OP is not interested in your Force 10, I might be, based on condition. Please let me know once the OP decides.

David

No, it's still available. PM with your email, and I'll send photos. It's the American Standard size. I have the manual. You can get details on this web site:

Re: Propane Stove and Oven

I'll try to look into shipping quotes in the next couple of days, but if anyone wants to check it out themselves, it will be around 100lbs shipping weight from Gloucester Point, Virginia, 23062, USA.

Cheers,

Re: Propane Stove and Oven

Being a frugal sailor, ok poor. I purchased an atwood rV stove on ebay. These are new taken out of rv's when a buyer wants a different stove. The top burners do not meet new marine requirements, flame failure cutout, but old marine stoves did not have that either. They work very well and heat like a land side range. Much better then marina stoves I've used in the past. Oven has all the safeties.

*17" ATWOOD 3 BURNER LP GAS STOVE OVEN RANGE RV PIEZO RV-1735BSPS *203* | eBay

I use metal clamps (cheap spring type) for fiddles and even used the old swivel mounts for it. I went RV as my 45 year old boat, then 43, had an old rv stove installed since new. figured it worked for 43 years so went that route again.

Very interesting! Thanks for the tip. Did you gimbal your stove, or just leave it fixed? I imagine that it would not be too hard to rig up some kind of gimbal...

Regards,
David.
