What a treat to run into this thread. Thanks for bumping it. I've been a SF fan since I learned to read. Asimov, Heinlein, Clarke..I walked miles to a little county library in Texas, and back. I read every Sci-Fi book they had. I read a lot, too. I'm on my third Kindle. Lots of other things, but from time to time I need a Sci Fi fix. I like the hard core, futuristic stuff. I also like time travel. And near future Post Apocalypse. I am just now finishing up the fourth book in Edward W. Robertson's "Breaker" series.

I've been taking notes on this thread, and have a list of authors to read.

"I Row-Boat", how could you go wrong? Actually not a bad selection of interesting stuff from Corry Doctorow. DRM free, and he is militant about it, both in his "copyrights" and his writing. Some "young adult" fiction included in his downloads (Makes me wanna say "Get off my lawn!" but entertaining and a good read. Short stories and novels, as well as some non-fiction. The site is a little lumpy to get around, but all the pubs are available in a number of formats and free.

How can you not like a working author who includes the following Woody Guthrie quote in his copyright notice.
