Refit for a Union Polaris - Tank Removal

Here is some condensed footage of a project I've been into for the last year.

This is a 1979 Union Polaris cutter, 36', I've replaced the water with new stainless, diesel with cross-poly plastic, plumbing with copper pipes.

The engine is a Volvo Penta 2003, fiberglass hull, full keel double-ender with 13k lbs in the keel.

Only had to cut two stringers and then sister them back together to get the old tanks out and the new in.

More to come as I get time...

Re: Refit for a Union Polaris - Tank Removal

Thanks for the video!

Did I see correctly on another post you decided on aluminum tanks?
How are they working out?

Curious how much tank you were able to get back in, and what it all looked like on the install. Any pictures?

How's the sender unit working out?

Too bad you weren't around to show Rebel Heart how it's done...
