Here's a burn boat. My favorite! Just kidding. The smell of the burned fiberglass sticks in your hair and clothing most horribly after a long grind on this stuff. Have some pics of before and during up till primer but not after. This boat had loads of other work done on it as well, it was essentially a stem to stern refit. She was parked next to one that really burned...

Here's a pretty little stinkpot just for you Zee. I suppose I need to find more pics of sailboats during refit for this forum, but I have so many more of stinkpots. Unfortunately they have all the money....
This one came in with a heavily oxidized black hull. This is why black is ALWAYS a bad idea.

Bowthruster tube installation on a hull with planing strakes. These are a PITA. Using the jig for the cutout is a must. Note the total lack of any fairing compound. Almost all my repairs below the waterline are done this way, all fairing is done in solid glass and primer gel. This is before primer gel and final fairing.

Here is another steel sail boat with the pox being repaired. Sometimes we take these all the way back to bare metal, but usually the owner cannot afford it and it's not covered so we end up doing some sort of compromise. It never pleases me as I believe if it's starting to fail in that many places it will probably fail everywhere soon (the fairing that is). However we've done this with many steel boats and often they last quite a while before problems begin to crop up again in different places. Always surprises me. This one had quite a bit of work done and was in great shape when she left us. She's a circumnavigator. It's a Waterline 44. Oh, and we added a swim step of sorts...
