Re: Gorilla-Tape Glue. How to remove?

Thank you very much. I think I'll try mineral spirit.

Re: Gorilla-Tape Glue. How to remove?

Whatever you use, try it first on a small section of the window, where it isn't easily seen. That way you will know if it is safe before you damage all the windows.

Re: Gorilla-Tape Glue. How to remove?

Had lots of Gorilla Tape residue on the fiberglass hull liner of my boat. It had been there several years holding up a make-shift curtain over the portlights.

Tried mineral spirits, acetone, xylene, WD-40. Did not find great success. Then I tried kerosene. This worked better than all the others, especially when I wiped it over the residue, let it sit for a while, and then came back and wiped it again. Some of it wiped off with little effort. Some, though, continued to be stubborn, but eventually gave up after multiple wipes. Used a rough-weave cotton rag. Better than T-shirt grade cotton rag for this job.

I've used a citrus-based product made for removing glue and tape residue. It works very well and is safe for your gelcoat and paint. You could ask if they have something like this at your hardware store.
