From one machinst to another, thats some sweet work ! your woodworking skills are far better then mine !! love the making of things so they work better and easier!! looking at powerd winchs at this time for our new boat ! want to set it up so Connie can single hand it if something happens to me ! Yeah! That was part of the construction idea, it was if I ever decide to goto power winches I'd have room for them w/o interfering with the after berths headroom. Plus the original winches are 30+ years and parts are not available (Japanese). The wiring would be an easy access as well, being right above the batteries. I've re-built the boat to fit my own needs/wants!

BTW the seats stay in place very well unless the cockpit were to become awash, and then I probably would not have the seats in place under those weather conditions. One needs unobstructed space in bad weather.
