#2 Home heating oil, Diesel, and Road Diesel are all the same thing, just died differently for tax purposes. (Well not quite, there are a few additives in the road stuff...)

#2 is the red stuff you are buying at Marinas. Call the fellas that sell home heating oil, and see if they will deliver to the dock... Or go to a fish house/commercial dock and ask when they are filling up if you can tie alongside. A lot of commercial guys do not have their own tanks at the docks, so trucks are how they have it delivered.

The trucks are impressive enough in their own right... gallon every 3 seconds, and self retracting hoses! (Better have some big tanks... )

I don't know about your state but in California people who deliver fuel to boats are required to be licensed to do this for pollution reasons. My brother and I used to run a 95 foot retired Coast Guard cutter as a Sea Scout ship and we could not call just anyone with a tanker truck to have fuel delivered. So you may want to look into that first to make sure it is not going to be a problem

Good point, Bryan!

My experience with the trucks has been through the boat yard. (I'm working on a retired wooden 83 foot Coast Guard cutter... Wish she was steel like the 95's! )
