Replacement water pump for a 1980 Perkins 4-108

Who do you go to in the US, specifically the Pacific Northwest, to find replacement parts for an older model Perkins? I am down one fresh water pump and am trying to locate by a very old parts number with no success.

Stewarts Marine Diesel on Shilshole in Seattle/Ballard used to have parts. Have you tried them?
Often Ebay will have parts too. Too bad all the good old places are gone now. Maybe just order on line from Foley engines or someone like that....

You will need to know the shaft diameter, there are 2 different pumps. Difference is the pulley bore.

Unless the housing is damaged, the one you have can be rebuilt. An older shop manual will show you how. Bearings and seal can be had from any good bearing supply or Depco Pumps.

I know you said the US, but I have used parts4engines in the UK for all of my Perkins needs, typically 50% less for the same stuff and I get deliveries within 3 to 5 days

I've been using Trans Atlantic Diesel. I've heard good things about Part4engines and if i had the time to wait if parts were incorrect I'd try them out (maybe this winter) but TAD know Perkins very well and will ask all pertanant questions before charging you and shipping to make sure everything your getting is what you need.

Trans Atlantic Diesel they will hwlp for sure but if you look in Internet you find plenty. Perkins 4108 is as popular as Aspirin!

I took mine to a guy in Corfu Old Port. Rebuilt it in 24 hours. Not much use to you in the US but a good engineering shop should be up to doing the job.
Ask around fishing harbours for workshops.
