Re: What kind of cruisers are you?

None of the above kind.

Lived aboard one year, then holiday'd aboard for 1-2 months/year for about 15 years. Now three months/year on board for the last six years, then home to curse Mr. Schengen. It's not enough time, but hopefully more in future as home responsibilities decrease.

Re: What kind of cruisers are you?

There's no option for those of us who cruise 4-6 months per year.

Live aboard about 4 months a year, of which about 2 months is cruising. This year maybe 6 months aboard. No poll option.

Those might be the lucky ones with longer holidays that can fit in numer 1!

Re: What kind of cruisers are you?

What about those who are both 1 and 4. i.e. liveaboard permanently in one location for business/work reasons and cast the lines off at weekends and on holidays (not just "summer").

Re: What kind of cruisers are you?

None of the above. Liveaboard for 7 years, plan extended voyaging possibly up to a circumnavigation ... and then to swallow the hook.

Re: What kind of cruisers are you?

The kind that wear a Corto Maltese tee shirt (true)

and one that don't fit in any of the options of your pool: I live on the boat from May to October and then return home for the winter and the family reunion. Except 15 days in May to put the boat in conditions, I cruise all the time I am in the boat.

I believe that I am not the only one doing this.

Re: What Kind of Cruisers are You?

We've been living aboard for 43 years. We used to have shore jobs near the marina and cruise in the summers, but we've been mostly underway for the last twelve years. I expect this is a terminal condition!

Yes, I am one of those and I know many, so it seems to me that option is needed to have a global picture.

Re: What Kind of Cruisers are You?

There can be something misleading in selecting the "Liveaboard. Life, Long Term, Possibly Forever". There are a large number of people who I know to be in this category, but the do no cruising at all!
