I have a question for all over width cats out there! Bundaberg qld and North is the best and cheapest place to slip my 6.5 mt sailing cat?There are very few travel lifts wide enough.I wish to head north up the qld coast and would like to do a hull clean and paint.

Travel lift in Mackay marina can easily handle.

If there is a large tourist business and catamarans to take them out, there is probably a trailer haulout somewhere. They use a converted semi flat bed trailer and a front loader to pull it to haul the big catamarans here in Kona.

Norship Port Hinchinbrook (Cardwell) lifted our Lagoon 380 (6.53m beam) no problems.
They allow DYI maintenance & the rates are reasonable.

Peter,
before you head north try pricing boatworks on the Gold Coast. Every catamaran owner I know who has been there is very impressed with their costs and work ethic plus they have a proper hydraulic trailer for lifting a cat out of the water.

Second that on Boatworks lots of people have only good things to say about it and they do mid week deals etc.
Also recently heard some good words about Sampson Marina in Thornlands and comparable in price to Boatworks I'm told.
