Nice looking but that slanted fore-deck must be hard when under way and wet. Even if non-skid.

There is a tramp in front of that. The floor plan shows the french word filet which is net. I like this boat better than a Gem.

Yeah those Iriquois are nice and built like brick sh*t houses. They have boards too so point pretty well.

2. Why am I not dropping everything and heading to the keys? What is wrong with me?

Because it is really hard.

Are you married? Older parents?

No woman, no guy (I have enough porn to know I'm straight. ), no kids, and my parents live in Michigan and vacation in Florida, so I would be able to spend more time with them by doing the ICW each year...

The hard part would be dealing with the weather and waves. Plus determining where I can anchor and can't, getting to shore, and finding fun things to do on a budget. It is a lifestyle, and I'm sure once you figure out some things, the rest falls into place, but that first step is a big one.

There are a lot of unknowns, but that is true where ever you are.

I will say that this is 'early retirement plan C' though. If A & B don't work or only last a few years, then C it is.
