Berth Configuration?

At the risk of not even coming close to the proper terminology....

What are your opinions on the berth options for catamarans? That is, what are the pros/cons of sleeping in a berth that is head to beam versus a berth that sleeps head to stern?

If your head to beam, someone has to crawl over someone. Head to stern would be my preference and a semi walk-around berth would be best. On forward berths, they usually are narrower in the front and many pictures show pillows at what I would consider the foot of the bed. I don't personally like sleeping with my feet to the wall and my head towards the walkway as the pillow falls off the bed.
