hi,we sail a Sunmagic44,cruising southern
Ireland to Galicia in North
Spain 3 times in last 3 years direct Cork to La Coruna and La Rochelle to Coruna this year. They are a solid, stiff well built boat.Very quick and easily sailed. We have been
offshore in 40knots and with 3
reefs and a little headsail the boat was no problem.the big plus is the room and accomodation but unlike the newer boats of the type there is less compromise here with sea keeping and sailing ability. The last owner of our boat bought a newer 45DS and says he was happier
offshore on the 44 and when manoeuvering around
marinas in breezy times.
there you have it.
