i cant read the tag, there is handfulls of rust flakes in the buildge that ive pulld out they were blocking the dranes.

the plate in the engin is japanese, and very badly warn away.

heres a vid of the the beast. i found the crank mixed in with the winch handles
i put all i could in to it. its stuck good.

sneekey lil bastard he senced that i was playing my hand close to my chest and forced me to put a bid in hes wanting 4 i put it in for 1 offering to take it off his hands and nolonger pay marina fees or worry about it sinking and costing more $

oooo it was sinking boefore i broke it.
when i first got on boat the builge was full and pump off line
and he know i saved it il rubb it in if he dosent roll for the 1k

somethen elce i just remberd the prop was not left in newtral or its frozen good. i was pushing on it hard and it dident buge, dident want to do too much for risking making a bigger hole in the boat if it were to snap off or something nasty

welll... had some time so i worked on the moter no luck moving it new pix on my photobucket

hmm the picture is upside down but it appears to be japanese or chinese.. looks like some numbers too maybe?

Well the red puke tank cap says Yanmar?

The Japanese writing (hiragana character set) on the data plate says

Ya na ma- de- su ru (Yanmar Diesel)

I can't make out the bit below that - A C 8 = 8 hp? - There should be a model number there. BTW photo 3 is right side up.

The good news is there are probably parts for it.

Interestingly the rubber bits look better than the steel bits. The hoses and the v-belt don't completely suck at all...

It looks to me to be a Yanmar 8 hp. Is the engine cylinder on it's side? I am thinking YSM series...I got an old maual arond her somewhere...when I find it I'll post a picture.
