Sorry, no idea.
The cutting was not done by KM. Cutting files were made for every thickness required and the cut pieces then arrived at the yard from the supplier. Edges look absolutely perfect - clean and smooth.

I don't know, we Laser all our aluminum for aircraft and only water jet the thick steel,
Lasers leave a rough edge that does have to be cleaned off though.

I have had exceptional results with this polish on bare, cast aluminium Bomar hatches. Well, they were powder coated, then got bare, then I polished with this stuff about 12 years ago and never touched it again. Still no oxidation today, don't ask me how it is possible
I wouldn't use it on the hull but would on railings, stanchions etc.

If you don't mind, would you tell us why you wouldn't use it on the hull?

Finely sanded aluminium can simply glow in the sunlight, why not do the whole hull?

I've used this stuff and concur.... It is the best for sure...

Because I expect a blotted effect for large surfaces. The trick is to not get it too shiny I think, while for detailing like railings etc. this does work wonders. I believe it reacts with the aluminium-oxide to become a stable protective layer.

I do not see laser very often on aluminum thicker than about 4mm. And probably the thinnest plate on SL's boat will be 6mm (might have 5mm decks I guess), with some 8 and 12.

oh, geeze - you leave yourself wide open with that comment - but I will resist. But it can't be any real secret - I suspect whoever was the NA has the plans posted on their website to show off their latest work.

Yes, decks are mainly 5mm (with thicker sections or reinforcement at the bow and under bollards etc), but there is very little 6 anywhere.
Hull is 8mm and 10.
Smaller portions are 12, 15 and 20 mm with a tiny bit of 25 and 30.

I am jumping out of my skin with excitement here.

I have woken up to find 25 more photos. Not just that, but the deck has been assembled. and all the bulkheads are welded on, together with the very first portion of curved hull and caprail.

Photos will follow. I'm too excited to do anything other than look at them for now .

I won't overload everyone with all the shots, but I will take a bit of time to make some notes about what each one that I post shows.

This is the rear again, but looking from front to back. The gap at the stern will be closed off by a drop down swimming platform. The side combing curves around at the rear to provide a very useful back support (sitting this way at anchor in the tropics will provide good airflow, whereas the pilothouse overhang will give good shelter sitting the other way when cooler). Cockpit seats are around 2m long with large hatches on each seat giving access to the "garage":
