Any 40 foot 4 cabin sailboats?

We are searching for a late model year monohull sailboat. A requirement for us is for it to have 4 cabins.

Anybody know of boat models that fit the bill of around 40' and have 4 cabins. (Or 3 if one of them has bunkbeds).

Thanks!

Most charter boats in that size have 3 or 4 cabins. Check out what is available to charter and you will see some examples.

Good Luck

I've looked thru the charters without much luck. Really looking for 4 cabins in a sub 40' boat.

Tge Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 has one such layout, for example.

On a sub 40' boat never heard of one. Over 40' are several if you count the main salon as a cabin.

Many catamarans below 40ft have 4 double cabins. Don't know of any monos below about 45ft

Re: Any 40 foot 4 cabin sailboats?

I agree with Skipmac. I haven't heard of a sub-forty footer with 4 cabins either. I'd be looking at Sun Sail, Moorings, Conch Charters to see what they have in their fleet of boats for sale or charter.
Another option, and I don't know how they'd respond, is to reach out to the guys and gals at Cruising World and see if they have ever done a review of a boat like you're looking for.
If price isn't a factor Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 can come in a 4 cabin plan, Hanse 418 same, Delphia 40.3 same. But these are not sub40 footers, and are newer models.

One boat I did find on Yachtworld that might work for you is a 2000 Beneteau 40.7 in Annapolis. Says it has 3 cabins, one might be bunks. I didn't dig deep into it.

Good hunting.

The beneteau Oceanis 411 is a widespread 12 meters with 4 cabins. Maybe too old for you to consider?

Re: Any 40 foot 4 cabin sailboats?

I chartered a Jeanneau 43 DS in Greece with 4 cabins a couple of years ago. So Jeanneau did one. The boat was about 10 - 15 years old. Not sure if there is a recent equivalent. One of the cabins had bunk beds.

The configuration was a V berth, a double with bunks and two doubles amidships and aft, if I recall correctly.

Both the 43DS's that I have sailed on had a "double" v berth forward, a bunk double aft of that (opposite the forward head). And a massive "owners" double cabin aft going right across the boat, so you could lie lengthwise or across the beam (great for sleeping in a rolling anchorage).

I do believe that they did split that into 2 separate cabins on some of them.

Gib Sea 43

Has a moveable bulkhead/partition that closes off a berth to make a 4th private stateroom

Weird flex but okay. Consider:

Ovni 400: 4-cabin configuration (version 213), LOA 12.90 m / 42.3 ft, LWL 11.54 m / 37.86 -- https://www.alubat.com/sites/default...cription_1.pdf

Delphia 40.3: 4-cabin configuration, LOA 40’6”, LWL 36’3", -- https://pdf.nauticexpo.com/pdf/delph...4341.html#open
