1975 Stoner Sailboat

Anyone have any information on this boat other than the specs at sailboat data? Am looking at one today and can't find anything about them online...Owner/seller says its a racing and cruising boat, (with a 10 foot beam?!) hope to hear from someone with experience of their flaws and good points, comparing it to a C&C 26'. Skipper and I have been learning on our capri 18 and beginning to want to move up in size, with plans to eventually do some bluewater cruises and/or liveaboard.

I haven't heard of them. Found a picture on line. It looks like a pretty typical 26 racing boat for the time. Quite beamy though, which can cause issues on some boats , hard to say.
Those boats and of that age are a dime a dozen. If it's a real bargain may be ok but even known names in that era and size are nearly give away boats at this point... so don't pay much for it. JMHO

They look like a lot of old racers from that era. I would expect it would still be reasonably quick in a Wednesday twilight race. Though, perhaps not too much space internally.

If so, the add says the standing rigging was replaced in 2001. Chances are, its due for replacement again.

Try and look at a Catalina 27 and see how it compares.
