Thank you for your input. I have also never heard of MD. Meanwhile I have spent longer in Gizo than I have spent in the entire USA. The Solomons is only 1000nm from where I am currently. I have done deliveries from Brisbane to Hawaii and the distance wasn't mentioned in the inquiry.



I think I will refrain from posting anything publicly again, its just not worth the trouble.

The OP referred to "the Solomons", which is very often how Solomon Islanders and Australians refer to the country.

It's not surprising that people outside the US would automatically think that "the Solomons" meant the pacific island nation rather than a place called Solomons in Maryland.

No reason for anyone to get snarky.

(Technically the country is referred to as "Solomon Islands" rather than "the Solomon Islands", in the same way that Indonesia is not known as "the Indonesia". But in general usage "the Solomons" is very common.
